Meet Deirdre
Deirdre Brodie has called Albany home for two decades, living as both a renter and a homeowner. She grew up in nearby Latham, the daughter of immigrants who instilled in her the values of hard work, education, and community. With a successful career in government and public service, Deirdre has dedicated herself to improving the lives of others.
She began her career as an AmeriCorps volunteer before serving as a policy analyst in the Albany County Executive’s Office, working to strengthen Medicaid and SNAP programs. She went on to earn an MPA in Public Finance and Public Policy from the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College. Later, she worked with over a dozen state and local governments to modernize human services as part of KPMG’s government advisory practice. Today, she is a government solutions manager at Binti, a tech company improving foster care services.
Deirdre is an active leader of the Washington Park Neighborhood Association and has served on the board of Vanderheyden for over a decade. In 2022, she was recognized in the Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40.
